Welcome! We have a very exciting report for you this month from our
activities in May. We were privileged to be involved in many
groundbreaking events in the Northeast of America, one of the most
strategic places in today’s world. We so are excited to watch the
vision unfold that God gave us for this area. Send us your feedback and

EDITORIAL - THE PRICE OF TRUTH
INTRODUCTION
"There is a vast difference between a prophet and a
politician… The politician seeks out which way the majority is going,
then he stands in front of them and says, "Follow me." But the
prophet stands alone and says, "You are going the wrong way, turn
around."… The prophet is never popular because his word is costly
and requires change. People often are deceived because they choose that
which is presently comfortable, rather than being willing to pay the
price of "Truth." The truth is costly and often, the results
are not seen. But to choose less, in the long run, is much more
costly." - Wade E. Taylor.
Throughout history, the truth has always been a liability to any who have
been entrusted with it. Those who proclaimed it often paid with their
lives. Christ not only spoke the truth, much to the frustration of the
religious Leaders, but He was the living truth, personified in a man.
That’s why they killed Him.
"WHAT IS TRUTH?"
Pontius Pilot foreshadowed the intellectual arrogance of this present age
when he asked Jesus the question that relativists today would prefer not
be answered; "What is truth?" This question reaches across the
last two thousand years and even though God tells His people to always be
ready to give a reason for the hope that lies within them (! Peter 3:15),
increasingly fewer Christians can answer it.
GOD IN A BOX
Truth is reality (not relative), devoid of our subjective assumptions. It
is that which is; a definition very close to God’s description of
Himself in Exodus 3:14 as "I Am" - He just is! The orthodox
Christian world view has always been that truth is constant and as
absolute as God is. Christianity declares that God created a ‘box’
(the universe), and even though He is transcendent from it, He is
intimately involved with all that’s going on inside that box.
Relativist thought says that the box is all there is and if there is a
God then He is in it. This thinking has subtly crept into the twenty
first century church, with some Christians trying to squeeze God into a
box of their own design.
Is it any wonder that the multiplicity of choices that our society
offers, also affects our concept of God. We pick and choose what we want
when it comes to God in the same way we pick products off the supermarket
shelf or select our food at a buffet. Whatever suits us, that’s what we
take, as long as it fits into our own idea of what truth or God should
be. We squeeze Him into that box of our own design.
"I CHANGE NOT!"
God will laugh in the face of the last trendy social engineer as he faces
his Maker and waits for the verdict. But it won’t be a laugh of
ridicule, but one that recalls His word in Isaiah 44:25; "…Who
frustrates the signs of the babblers, and drives diviners mad; Who turns
wise men backward, and makes their knowledge foolishness."
VICTIMS OF THE IDEOLOGICAL BATTLEFIELD
The church has lost a whole generation of youth (the 18-25’s), who have
become victims on the ideological battlefield of our post-modern world
where the Christian world view has become just another alternative. This
lost generation were untrained for combat. They were given a sword (the
Word of God), but were never instructed in how to use it to fight for
truth. As a result, 50-80% of Christian youth abandon their faith within
the first years of college, as soon as they encounter the first
opposition to their faith from atheistic professors.
The urgent necessity of our time is to train Christians who are prepared
to forsake the path of popularity and to stand for the truth - a
generation of young ‘prophets’ who, having done all, WILL STAND! #

"Hi Jeff. I appreciate the vision for Philadelphia expressed by a
dear sister (See ‘Feedback,’ FMI Report April ’02). As a point of
fact however, we need to keep our eyes on the winds of the Spirit and
where He is happening. It will be a broad sweep across the land since God
is not a (real-estate) kind of personality. It will reach certain places,
and not others depending on how the prayers of the saints have sought for
God "with all their hearts," in those areas. My experience and
spiritual read tells me, that the wind is starting right here in
NYC/Metro- which I call ‘Gotham’… God will use New York and will do
so to redeem His church here from the many years of slumber and
slothfulness, petty squabbles, territoriality, suspiciousness and for not
responding in Justice to the needs of the poor, hurt and disenfranchised…
Walls are coming down. Churches are coming together for prayer which is
resulting in reconciliation and renewal (awakening.) As the Lord's people
allow the Holy Spirit to transform them, we will see more lost found,
revival in the region, and society changed. En Agape, CARLOS ORTIZ,

"Dear Brother Beacham and Sister Heather, Great job with your
updated website! (see www.firepowerint.com ). My husband and I attended a
conference in West Lebanon, NH sponsored by the FREEDOM NETWORK. Francis
Frangipane spoke to the Pastors and leaders that attended… I had an
opportunity to contact Keith Marsh with the Freedom Network and share
with him about the prophecy the Lord gave Firepower Ministries concerning
‘The Great Wheel Of Reawakening’ (see www.firepowerint.com/prophecies.htm
) and sent him to your website. God is sending His servants to the
Northeast. Thank you Jesus!!! We as intercessors believe that this is
significant and we say to heaven "YES!!! LORD." We vote for God’s
plan to bring revival to this nation...change the "church" in

MAY EVENTS
** NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER AT NJ STATE CAPITAL - May 2 marked the
celebration of the 51ST ANNUAL NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER. Millions joined
together in their hometowns to pray for America and its leaders. I was
asked by PASTOR JACK CAIRNS, NDP co-coordinator for the Trenton area, to
lead a special devotional time for church leaders and legislators in the
NEW JERSEY STATE CAPITAL, Trenton for the National Day Of Prayer on May
2. We then joined many others, including church and political leaders, on
the Capital steps to pray for America. This year was especially moving,
being the first NDP since 9/11. The NDP was affirmed by special
proclamations by the President and state governors, including NJ Governor
JAMES MAGREEVEY.
** NJFPC STRATEGY SESSION LAUNCHING A STATEWIDE CLERGY ADVISORY COUNCIL -
Several months ago, I had lunch with my friend LEN DEO, president of the
NEW JERSEY FAMILY POLICY COUNCIL. He shared his desire to establish a
statewide Clergy Advisory Council and invited me to be a part of it. On
May 14, the NJFPC hosted the first strategy session where the vision was
shared to involve ministers more in the stand it is taking to strengthen
families and morality in our society (Learn more at: www.njfpc.org/index.html).
** HISTORIC DAY AT ISRAELI CONSULATE IN NYC - On May 10, I was invited to
join other NYC Christian leaders at the ISRAELI CONSULATE to pray for the
peace of Jerusalem. Included were the Vice-President of the BILLY GRAHAM
ASSOCIATION, the Executive Director of REINHARD BONNKE'S American office,
the Presidents of THE KINGS COLLEGE, NYACK COLLEGE and ALLIANCE
THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY. MAHESH AND BONNIE CHAVDA, DON FINTO, and LOU ENGLE
were also able to be there. There was a powerful time of prayer and
praise led by EAGLES WINGS MINISTRIES (www.eagleswings.to), co-sponsors
of this historic event. Among the speakers were Israeli Ambassador ALON
PINKAS and RABBI MICHEAL MELCHIOR, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Israel.
Head of Eagles Wings, ROBERT STEARNS reports: "Over lunch, the
Minister challenged us from the Book of Esther, that perhaps we, as
Christians, have come to our position of influence for such a time as
this. He exhorted us to take our place as watchmen on the wall for Zion's
sake. It was an extremely powerful and moving time. We are in dialogue
about future interaction and plans. Please keep all of this in your
prayers, that the wisdom and grace of the Lord would continue to shine
about our efforts."
Suggested Follow-Up Strategies To Come Out Of This Meeting Were:
1. June 26 'Songs of Zion' - An evening of Christian Solidarity and Unity
with the Jewish people.
2. National Evangelical resolution calling for prayer for the peace of
Jerusalem and expressing solidarity with the Jewish people.
3. National Evangelical Position Paper on the relationship of Israel and
the Church.
4. Theological Think Tank - The establishment of a theological think tank
which would facilitate lectures at the seminary level on the issue of
Christian and Jewish relations from a theological perspective.
5. Israeli Consulate Gatherings - Using May 10th as a prototype, we will
work alongside the Israeli government to host the 'Day of Prayer for the
Peace of Jerusalem' at consulates across America.
6. National Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem

Call NYC, Nyack College, Alliance Theological Seminary, The Kings
College, New Jersey Family Council, Billy Graham Evangelistic
Association, New York Evangelical Seminary Fund, Union County Pastors for
Revival, Rockland Evangelical Ministers Fellowship, Bergen County
Pastor's Prayer Fellowship, House of David Ministry Leaders Fellowship,
Firepower Ministries International and USSPN New York.
