EDITORIAL
– “BEING HUMAN?”
INTRODUCTION ‘THE
DEVIL MADE ME DO IT’ Perhaps, just perhaps, there might have been a little of the old fashioned sin of gluttony involved? But to admit that would be too convicting. It’s much easier to blame someone else (...and make a little money into the bargain). Waite Phillips made a valid comment in this regard; "A man can fail many times but he isn't a failure until he begins to blame someone else." When we take responsibility for our own behavior, it opens the door for a victorious life.
On a cultural level, much blame for the world’s present woes has been placed by the media and politics at the feet of religious fundamentalism. To a degree this is true, but secular fundamentalists are a far greater threat to freedom than all the terrorists that exist!
Perhaps Mark Twain’s sardonic wit spoke a truth when he said, "At times it does seem a shame that Noah and his party didn't miss the boat!"
NOTHING
NEW UNDER THE SUN The sad thing is that there is nothing new, only that which has been forgotten! Our prideful post-modernism is doomed to go the same way as the Dodo bird. Trendy ‘broadmindedness’ does not essentially differ from the moral declines that have spurred the disintegration of most previous civilizations. Is ours any different? General Douglas Macarthur once said; "History fails to record a single precedent in which nations subject to moral decay have not passed into political and economic decline. There has been either a spiritual awakening to overcome the moral lapse, or a progressive deterioration leading to ultimate national disaster." Collectively, being human sometimes means we have short memories or selective hearing; one or the other, or maybe both!
TAKE
ME TO YOUR LEADER If
someone from another planet asked me if I was a human being, I could say
‘no!’ I am not a human being – although right now I am being
human!’ You see, according to God’s word, before I was here, I
was hidden in His Heart. But from
the moment of conception I actually
became a spirit
that was given a soul and the
body I currently live in. But
this won’t be my home forever. When my physical body finally succumbs
to the pull of gravity, it will return to the
dust where it came from and
my spirit will return to God, from where it came. “Remember
Him—before the silver cord is severed, or the golden bowl is broken;
before the pitcher is shattered at the spring, or the wheel broken at
the well, and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the
spirit returns to God who gave it.” (Ecc
12: 6-7) BEING
HUMAN, BEING SAVED! The
purpose of life is to prepare for eternity and that qualification takes
place in the soul, which is in a life-long
process of ‘being saved’ and
purified to resemble the image of Jesus. “For the
message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to
us who are being saved it is the power of God” (1 Cor. 1:18). This world and eternity belongs to those who realize that they have a responsibility to work on their fallen human nature. They know they are ‘being human’ right now, but this is not their excuse. They hunger after righteousness and when that becomes a collective desire of enough individuals, then it transfers to the exultation of a nation - and that can give a small glimpse of heaven here on earth. "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people." (Proverbs 14 :34) "It is error alone which needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself." -Thomas Jefferson #

“God
came through in the 11th hour! Jeff, after last year's incredible revival
meetings in Wall, New Jersey, I had a burning desire to start a prayer
meeting/hour...well I wrote a letter to my [company]...they
said no, it might be offensive to people, so I began prayer walking back
and forth from Hudson Street, where I work
- down to the "pier" that overlooks the Manhattan
Skyline... Well, on July 1st,
two of us joined hands, prayed,
cried and shared testimonies... But
yesterday no one showed up, so I started out as usual praying and
singing when I noticed a cross
someone carved into the banister...I prayed that this place would be an
"open portal" and continued back to my workplace...long story
short...got on the bus to get ready to take my wonderful two hour
commute back to Howell New Jersey,
when I noticed
a woman reading a Bible... Immediately we got together and
exchanged numbers...same agenda. She had been praying for somebody
too... Anyway, she shared a testimony with me...about how the Lord came
through for her in the 11th hour...Well, today three of us showed up
from my job and others have expressed their desire to come out because
they need prayer... Our company was
sold and we are all losing our jobs very soon... I asked the Lord why is
this being birthed now and I remembered He sometimes comes through in
the 11th hour and His timing is always right... I don't know where this
is leading, but it is the right time because people are now open...
I thank you, as well as Tommie Zito, and my Pastor, Bryan
Riportella and my mentors, Pastor Leo and Edith Fram... You go with
God...you trail blazer you! God's best Blessings be upon you and your

JULY EVENTS
"180 BEACHHOUSE" OUTREACH - SEASIDE NJ. New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Brick NJ, spearheaded an outreach this Summer to the thousands of young people attracted to the boardwalk at Seaside NJ by the presence of the MTV studio. I assisted them in this project. Pastor Joseph Sorce sent this testimony:
"Dear
Jeff, tonight we saw a tremendous breakthrough!
The last few nights could have been very discouraging, but I
decided that if we were doing what God said to do then we just needed to
hang in there and keep thanking God for the harvest and for the
laborers. Well, tonight
all heaven broke loose... We saw
probably 40 salvations! We are
also seeing many rededications. So
far we have ministered to
people from Egypt, France, Austria, Russia, Lithuania, and Hungary - all
immigrants working in Seaside for the summer. What an awesome opportunity. I even was able to speak in my native Sicilian dialect, with an 81 yr old Sicilian monk who knew the Word! He was telling me all about Jesus’ dying for the sins of mankind and that without Him there is no hope of Heaven! It's like the day of Pentecost... A word from the Lord came forth telling us to press on and not be discouraged that this project was sure to explode. A few hours later we received word that Kenneth Copeland delivered a prophetic word in a church in Ohio. The word said that...there would be a mighty outbreak among youth on the east coast and it would last throughout the summer! Tonight we saw the breakthrough... We are starting to see some people get funneled into the church. We are heading for the final round up over the next few weeks. We've learned a lot for next year... The fruit is lasting fruit. COVENANT COALITION REGIONAL GATHERING, QUEENS NY. "On July 11th we had our quarterly CCC regional gathering at Bethel Gospel Tabernacle (Bishop Roderick Caesar’s church) in Queens. Pastors Jeff Beacham, Gary Hartley, and Victor Nazario, each gave a presentation and then led a panel discussion on 'Multiplying Leadership and Laborers Within the Local Church.' It was an outstanding presentation given by seasoned practitioners so that everyone present received practical strategies that they can apply to their own ministries. DR JOSEPH MATTERA, Founder and Director, CCC."
LEADERSHIP SEMINAR WITH DAVID CARTLEDGE, THE CHURCH OF GRACE AND PEACE, TOMS RIVER NJ. Australian AG National Executive member David Cartledge gave a life, ministry and church changing series of meetings at out base church here in New Jersey during July. David is the author of over thirty books and has a rare wealth of experience and wisdom to share for the benefit of the Kingdom.
