POLAR WEATHER, WHY2K? AND 'DOWN UNDER' KIND OF UNEXPECTED.

Dear All,
We hope this new millennium is one of great promise for you as it is for us.

PAT BEACHAM 1919 - 2000
I have been unable to write recently due to the relatively unexpected passing of my father PAT BEACHAM in NEW ZEALAND on the 3rd of January. On a day's notice I made the long 28 hour journey 'down under' to join with my family (older brother GREG, his wife VILMA and their 9 children who live in HASTINGS where we grew up, younger brother CLIVE who lives in LUXEMBERG, and my mother, AGNES) for the funeral.

***I WANT TO REALLY THANK ALL OF YOU WHO RESPONDED TO HEATHER'S REQUEST FOR PRAYER BY SENDING MESSAGES OF CONDOLENCE BACK. THEY HAVE BEEN GREATLY APPRECIATED.***

My father, who was in his 81st year, had gone through a difficult time over the last three months beginning with a serious bout of pneumonia which abated but then came back, and which, combined with some other complications eventually took his life. I received the news at 1.30 am, January 3, just after finishing a crusade in NEW YORK CITY, however, it was not unexpected. Early in December I had been puzzled as to why all attempts to fill our ministry itinerary for the second weekend in January had proved fruitless. It was the only free weekend we had for many months. I had mentioned to my board at the time that it was probably because God was keeping it free for me to go to New Zealand and that's how it turned out to be. God is in control of every detail!

Following is a copy of the eulogy I read out at my father's funeral:

EULOGY FOR PAT BEACHAM
"I tried to remember a time when I heard his voice raised, but could not recall one!
I tried to find someone who could say; 'I saw him loose his temper', but could not find anyone!
I tried to find someone who could bring a rightful accusation against him, and could find no one!
I tried to find someone who had been cheated by him but could find no one!
I tried to find someone who had been purposely discouraged by any of his words, and could find no one!
I tried to find someone who could bring into question his integrity, and I found no one!
I only found those who had become richer for knowing him.
His passing may not make the headlines of the world, as is afforded to great statesmen and alike, but a true measure of a man's greatness is how he has treated others during the course of his life and ultimately the degree of which he has conquered his own spirit.

Proverbs 16:32 - 'He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit [is greater] than he who takes a city.'
Pat Beacham was the embodiment of that scripture."


HOUSE OF DAVID, DECEMBER 3 '99
I had the joy of ministering with the EAGLE'S WINGS team, lead by ROBERT STERNS, in one of the regular Friday night meetings called "HOUSE OF DAVID". These meetings are hosted for three months alternatively by two churches in the NORTH JERSEY / NEW YORK CITY area; ABUNDANT LIFE ASSEMBLY (PASTOR BILL FRITZKY) in WASHINGTON TNP. NJ and Metrochurch in Saddlebrook, NJ (PASTOR PETER BRUNO). These corporate meetings serve to strengthen the vision of The City Church and provide a venue for regional worship and intercession.

ROB STERNS REPORTS;
"Jeff ministered with a powerful and clear picture of what THE LORD is doing in this KAIROS time. His voice was a clarion call rousing the people of God to believe for biblical Christianity to be released again in our day.The time of impartation was powerful, as Jeff laid hands on the people from more than 30 congregations who had gathered that night across racial and denominational barriers. A fire of the Lord was rekindled in many hearts and I am sure the results of Jeff's ministry will be felt for a long time to come.

SUN. DEC. 5 '99 - RIVER OF LIFE FAMILY CHURCH, FORKED RIVER NJ.
PASTORS AL AND CAROL PANDOLA and the members of RLFC have been some of our greatest supporters since we arrived here in the UNITED STATES nine months ago. We have ministered for them regularly and have always seen the power and presence of God manifested in a wonderful way. This Sunday was no exception. Lives were challenged, changed and edified.

This church is experiencing very healthy growth and is in the middle of building a beautiful new building. So far it is about half completed and there has not been one dollar borrowed from the bank. God is providing for them in wonderful ways.

SUN. DEC. 12 '99 - EVANGELICAL CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, LITTLE FERRY NJ.
PASTORS CHARLES AND PAULINA MILLAR are also overseeing some wonderful growth in this church, nearly 50% since we were there late last July. This was the church where I had my hilarious (in hindsight) incident of being locked out of my car (see August '99 FMI Report "HAPLESS AND HELPLESS, BUT SAVED BY UNLIKELY ANGELS" in The Revival Journal at our website: www.firepowerint.com)

SUN. DEC 19 '99 - JERUSALEM FARM CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP, JACKSON NJ.
This was our second visit to PASTOR ROB LECH'S church in a few months and we had a wonderful time with them on both occasions. The week before this visit, Pastor Lech was instrumental in bringing PASTOR BART PIERCE from ROCK CITY CHURCH in BALTIMORE to TRENTON to minister to a group of churches Called 'CITY CHURCH FELLOWSHIP'. This group meets for prayer and other activities regularly and at the end of the meetings with Bart Pierce on Friday, December 17 they had a unique opportunity to pray in the SENATE CHAMBER of the NEW JERSEY CAPITAL BUILDING in Trenton. I attended this [as far as we know] unprecedented meeting which has opened up other opportunities for more prayer in the Capital Building.

PRAYER IN THE STATE CAPITAL
Below is are some excerpts from a report by PAT WENZEL, forwarded by PASTOR JACK CAIRNS of CAPITAL AG in TRENTON, on the Prayer and Devotional meeting at THE STATE CAPITOL Jan. 6th:

I also want to share with you that to the best of my knowledge for the first time a prayer meeting was held in our state capitol for our legislators, their staff and state workers. On Jan. 6th about 15 legislators and state workers gathered in annex rm. 101 &103 with eight wonderful Pastors from the Trenton area. Attendees heard the word of God and were prayed over. God was honored and all present were blessed. God also brought to my attention groups who had been praying for this for over two years. (The City Church Pastors, and two saints who work in the state house)… Please pray that as the Pastors reach out to our legislators that the Holy Spirit would reveal truth. Oh how I long to see God honored in the chambers of our legislative bodies. To see them on their knees in repentance along with all of us in the body of Christ. That we might truly humble ourselves before an almighty God confessing our sin, seeking His holy face and turning from our wicked ways."

Pastor Jack Cairns continues: "Pat is working to secure a room for us for another Prayer time next month. Rm. 101 is already secured for the months of March, April and May. From among Legislators and their staff came other invitations to minister to them.

Rob Lech volunteered to work with ASSEMBLYWOMAN MARION CRECCO to have the Pastors come and pray in the Assembly Chambers as we had the Senate Chambers last month.

SENATOR LOUIS BASSANO is seeking to put together a Prayer Breakfast for the Legislators sometime in May. He told me that he already has over a third of the legislators approving the idea. He also told me that setting up the date, time, place, and caterers etc. were not a problem. His problem was putting together the Prayer Breakfast program itself. To this end I gladly offered my help which he readily accepted. I don't know how much of the program he will ask us to be responsible for but we are ready to do it all if so needed. I am seeking advice from some involved in the NATIONAL PRAYER BREAKFAST in WASHINGTON D.C.. Depending on our responsibilities we will definitely be needing the help of many of you. Sen Bassano may be trying to have this Breakfast on the morning of the NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER. (Thursday, May 4th) If so, it will be a full day of ministry to the Capitol city as there will be a special evening Prayer Rally in the newly renovated WAR MEMORIAL BUILDING. This evening rally will be a State wide event and I would encourage you to make plans now to come and bring your church family with you.

It is tremendously exciting to see God moving in the political 'high places' and 'seats of power'.

SUN. DEC 26 '99 - PEHLAM BAY AG BRONX NY.
PASTOR TIM DZINDZIO pastors this great local church in the heart of the BRONX, NY. We visited here on a very cold Sunday morning. The meeting was fantastic and we will be returning to this church for a crusade early March 2000.

I must confess that I have never been so cold before as in this, our first north eastern winter. We are also learning about the 'WIND-CHILL FACTOR' which takes temperatures to 20-30F below freezing on some occasions. Our previous home SYDNEY, doesn't get much below 50F in winter so we are feeling like we're in the NORTH POLE at the moment. We need serious prayer!

FRID. DEC 31 '99 - SUNDAY JAN. 2, 2000, CALVARY PENTECOSTAL CHURCH, BROOKLYN, NY.
PASTOR MARCUS ROBERTS came to NEW YORK CITY 21 years ago from the WEST INDIES and since then he has raised up CALVARY PENTECOSTAL CHURCH in BROOKLYN, NY, a church of over 2000 people. In the next few months they will be moving into their wonderful new building.

Pastor Roberts had invited me to preach for him over the NEW YEAR'S EVE weekend. While others stayed home because of Y2K fears, I had no hesitation in accepting. The CARIBBEAN rhythms of the worship team were very refreshing in this mainly West Indian congregation as we all worshiped God and the clock ticked over to THE NEW MILLENNIUM in the middle of my 'word'. The church was packed that night (including two overflow rooms) and a large number responded to the altar-call for salvation.

It seems that Y2K was the biggest anti-climax or hoax of the Millennium, hardly a problem world-wide. A multi- billion dollar hysteria generated industry perpetuated by vested interests, but we are all still here and life goes on - let's get on with the job of getting THE GOSPEL out and seeing JESUS CHRIST glorified in the nations!

"I'M BACK!!" (NO PUN INTENDED), FIRE AND ICE IN JERSEY, CONNECTICUT, PENNSYLVANIA AND UNSEEN FRUIT.

My dear friend,
It's great to be in touch with you again - we bless you in Jesus' name.

This month's report is comprised mainly of testimonies from churches where we have ministered and individuals whose lives have been changed.

However, the past month has not been the easiest of times to say the least, due to the death of my father in early January and my back injury soon after that which put me out of action for two weeks. I have never experienced pain like it. The only way I can describe it is that it was like being stabbed by a sharp hot knife which would occur without warning at the slightest movement. I was unable to get off the floor or eat for five days and had to remain in one position.

I'm thankful that this injury was not worse. According to the doctor, if I had hit the corner of the step a little to the right of where I was injured, I could have easily ended up with a broken back.

We were very disappointed to have missed our scheduled ministry over the last few weeks of January. This is the first time in 16 years that I have had to cancel ministry because of illness, but we know that this is an another opportunity to learn greater trust in God. I am confident that He will bring a greater increase in the 'fruit' of souls and changed lives now that I am back in the 'battle'… I resumed ministry the first weekend of February in New Jersey and Connecticut (see following).

THE STEVE HILL CRUSADE, THE CHURCH OF GRACE AND PEACE, TOMS RIVER NJ, FEBRUARY 4-6.

The first night of this crusade (Friday, February 4) was my first night 'out' since my back accident. I joined Pastor WALT HEALY, the senior pastor of THE CHURCH OF GRACE AND PEACE (our US base), STEVE HILL and others to pray for a multitude of people after a challenging message from Steve that saw several hundred respond to the altar call. The Power of God was truly evident. Many were young people impacted for the first time and others were revived and empowered.

The following day I left to minister in CONNECTICUT for the rest of the weekend, however Steve's meetings just got better. Pastor Healy reports:

"We considered it an honor to have [Steve Hill at our church] since this is the first weekend meeting Steve has had away from the BROWNSVILLE REVIVAL since [it began] on FATHER'S DAY 1995.

The house was packed, hearts were ready and the Lord was faithful. The preaching was excellent, well targeted to the audience in each of the four services. The anointing was the same as it is in FLORIDA; hundreds packed the altar getting right with God and the ministry thereafter was powerful. Now we are doing follow-up discipling."

Over the weekend there were well over 500 people who responded to the altar calls. Among these were 92 first time decisions, 248 re-dedications and 126 re-commitments recorded. One interesting fact was that most of these were under the age of 25. God is after the heart of the young people of America!

GRACE OUTREACH FELLOWSHIP, NORWALK, CONNECTICUT. SUNDAY
FEBRUARY 6.

We had a fantastic time with Pastor PETER WESTFIELD and his church on this first Sunday back ministering for me. Peter reports:
"The whole church was encouraged and ministered to, including a special ministry time for those under 25 years of age. A genuine sense of expectancy was witnessed in the attendance both on Sunday morning and Sunday night. [Among those responding] were 4 people were saved.

Words of wisdom and knowledge were given through Brother Jeff which were
very accurate and pertinent to things were going on in people's lives! We were truly blessed! We are looking forward to having Brother Jeff
back this summer to hold some extended meetings."

CHURCH ON THE MOVE, ALLENTOWN PENNSYLVANIA, WEDNESDAY
FEBRUARY 9.

HEATHER and I went out to ALLENTOWN PENNSYLVANIA to meet Pastor RANDY LANDIS and his wife MARIBEL, and to minister for their Wednesday night service. We felt an immediate 'oneness' of spirit with this great couple who have committed their wonderful church of around 1500 to pursuing the presence of GOD. It was one of those special times of ministry and fellowship that I found tremendously gratifying.

Pastor Randy Landis reports:
"Jeff ministered a message straight from the heart of God! Within minutes the entire congregation was focused intently on the words which came forth. The eternal plans and purposes of God were being revealed with such passion and deep conviction. The Word was as a fire sent to the hearts of the hungry! People were visibly moved and touched by the ministry. Jeff and Heather, may you continue to carry the Presence and Purposes of God across America and the World."
We are looking forward to returning to CHURCH ON THE MOVE in September.

VICTORY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP, TROOPER PENNSYLVANIA, FRID. - SUN. FEBRUARY 11 - 13.

Pastor ED CRENSHAW is the senior pastor at VICTORY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP, the chairman of the AWAKE AMERICA steering committee for Philadelphia this coming June and a member of the an inter-denominational group of pastors and leaders called "RENEWAL AND RECONCILIATION". We ministered at Ed's church in mid January and last weekend. Ed reports:

"When I first became aware of your ministry, knowing that you had come
from Australia only a few months back, I felt as though the Lord showed
me that you would have a strong role in His plans for revival in this
region of the U.S. As I inquired of others more familiar with your
ministry, you were given a very strong affirmation.

We were blessed to have you minister at the first RENEWAL AND
RECONCILIATION meeting of the year 2000. Renewal and Reconciliation
meetings had been taking place in the Philadelphia area since Randy
Clark came in 1996. (Renewal meetings had begun in 1994.) However, we
had dropped our organization's agenda to join forces with others to host
CARLOS ANNACONDIA in September 1999. This meant several months with no Renewal and Reconciliation meetings.

We felt there was a lot riding on the first meeting since the Annacondia
crusade. God powerfully met us and confirmed us in our mission to bring
renewal and reconciliation to the churches of PHILADELPHIA. Your
message and ministry were powerful, calling us to a new level of
commitment to unity based on the power of the HOLY SPIRIT. And there
was a real release of Holy Spirit fire in the ministry time after the
message.

I'm thankful that we were able to reschedule you at VICTORY CHRISTIAN
FELLOWSHIP following your accident. Your role in regional revival was
reaffirmed on Friday night, as you indeed connected with the hearts of
leaders in the area. And Sunday morning's service was a great blessing
to our local church body, with a tremendous response to the altar call.
There were individuals who came forward that I have never seen respond
before. The Holy Spirit was indeed at work!

I look forward to an ongoing relationship with you, for the glory of God
and the advancing of His kingdom in Philadelphia and the Northeast of
the United States.

UNSEEN FRUIT.
Often ministry to people, whether it is pastoring, evangelizing or other, does not offer instant rewards. Recently, a friend here in the UNITED STATES, who had been a builder for many years, finally had the opportunity to go into full-time pastoral work. He had always been used to the daily sense of fulfillment that came from what he did with his hands. He could walk away each day and see the results of his work.

One of the challenges that he had to contend with when he went into the ministry was that working with people did not offer an immediate sense of accomplishment. Sometimes there was no evidence at all of progress.

Coming to me for counsel, I tried to encourage him to appreciate the ministry from an eternal perspective. The only thing we can take with us from this life when we leave this world is souls, whether they are those that we have won to Christ or those whom we have discipled into right relationship with others and Him. However, sometimes knowing and appreciating that our "reward will be in Heaven" does not always help us here in the midst of our temporal challenges. I guess that's why I greatly appreciate the times when we do hear from those who have been impacted by our ministry.

In recent weeks, we have received several testimonies that were tremendously encouraging to me, Following are a few that we would like to share with you:

On Friday night here in Australia when we have our special 3 hour watch prayer meeting apart from my own personal prayer. We will spend some focused prayer lifting up Jeff for complete healing, and the ministry to be even more greatly blessed.
I would like to encourage you as well in your vision for harvest and revival, that God has used you greatly in Australia to bring renewal here. It takes courage to speak revival and harvest and renewal when there is criticism and to also lead the way. "THE FIRST FOUR SEASONS, GOD'S TIMING AND PROVISION, AND CRUSADE TESTIMONIES"

THE FIRST FOUR SEASONS
It has been a year now since we arrived here in the United States. Along with the many changes we have faced, we have gone through four definite seasons, which is unusual for Aussies, who are used to dividing the year by only two; Summer and Winter, and distinguishing each by a short or long sleeve T shirt. Here are my light-hearted impressions.

When we arrived in the UNITED STATES last April it was SPRING, which brought massive growth that meant many trips to the garbage dump with clippings of all sorts. And then there was the pollen that covered everything in a thick blanket of yellowish green. Even if you washed your car it would be covered again in a few hours.

Then came SUMMER with 95% humidity and temperatures around 100 degrees (high 30's celcius), which attracted the 'Invasion Of The Sub-Woffers' as thousands came down from NEW YORK to the JERSEY SHORE, announcing their arrival with car stereos rattling my house from several blocks away.

AUTUMN saw most trees shedding their leaves, which meant filling hundreds of bags and off to the dump again. I had never had to bag leaves before, coming from a country where all native trees are green all year round

WINTER brought ice and snow, which caught this snow-ignorant Aussie off guard when I slipped on some ice and nearly broke my back, ending up on the floor for five days, unable to move or eat.

Anyway, despite all the above, we are still alive and are settling in great and God has been very gracious to us.

GOD'S TIMING AND PROVISION

We are now about to buy our first house ever and will move in exactly one year to the day since we arrived here. Years ago, Heather and I had used a down-payment we had saved for a house to put us through bible college. SYDNEY house prices (similar to NEW YORK) meant that we never could get enough money together again to buy a house so we rented for many years until we left for the UNITED STATES.

However, here, two mortgage companies have been bending over backwards to loan us the money even without a credit history for the house we found just a few weeks ago. We are told this is quite remarkable considering we have been here only a year.

For the last year we have been staying in a house that was provided for us free by friends from our church. We never knew how long we could stay here due to a complication with their bank going back many years. For the last year we never knew if we would have to leave this house on a few days notice, but we had confidence in God and never lost any sleep over it. Amazingly, we were notified yesterday that this house will be sold three days after we move to our new house. GOD'S timing is perfect and His provision is complete!!

CRUSADE TESTIMONIES
Following are some great testimonies from our crusades over the last month.

SAT. 19TH - SUN 20TH FEBRUARY - CHRISTIAN LIFE CENTER, WEST MILFORD, NJ.
We had to cancel two of our scheduled meetings for this conference due to snow but the remaining meetings were fantastic. Pastor Pat Fiore and his wife Susan are dear friends of ours. We met them when we both served on the Steering Committee for the AWAKE AMERICA CRUSADE at the MEADOWLANDS.

They have one of the best worship teams that I have heard around the Northeast. Steve Kinon, their main worship leader, sent this note:

FRID 3RD - SUN 5TH - PEHLAM BAY AG, BRONX, NY.

We were with this church late last year and returned for another great weekend. Pastor TIM DZINDZIO reports:

"What a wonderful weekend of ministry with Bro Jeff! The Services were blessed with the presence of the Lord as Jeff preached excellent messages which stirred up faith in the hearts of the people. We have been praying for some weeks now for a deep, rich, anointing of conviction to fall upon the folks of our community. God, give us the East Bronx!!! Jeff ministered not only to the people of my congregation, but to my spirit as well... Jeff pierced my heart with a deeper desire to seek after the presence of God. The Presence of God will bring repentance, salvation, healing, etc. Come Lord Jesus!!! Thanks, Jeff, for being personable with me and my family. Each of your visits to our church is laying down foundation for that BIG visit.

SUN 12TH - WED 15TH - FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD, BAYONNE NJ.

Pastor RICHARD LEKSELL'S church was one of the first we ministered in soon after we arrived here last year. It was great to return and build more on what we had deposited last time. Following are some testimonies from Pastor Leksell and several we received from others in his church:

"Thank you Jeff for 5 great services. Your messages were challenging to our congregation. That was evident by the fact they responded by their attendance and they kept coming back. The altars were filled every night. Many rededicated their lives back to the Lord and we had 10 first time decisions for Christ.

It was overwhelming to see the youth come every night and respond to the altars for more of the Lord. The last evening of the crusade, half of the church were 25 year of age and younger. A 7 year old girl was slain during the crusade and went home and told her mom that God spoke to her and told her she was to become a missionary. A 9 year old boy said that while he was slain he heard God speak to him and say He loved him but he did not like his sin. God dealt with him about the sin of lying, especially to his parents. He went home and apologized to his parents.

Thank you Jeff for answering the call to come to America and especially to New Jersey.

"Dear Pastor Beacham:
Last night when I got home I was so full of energy from the Spirit and from God working in you to bring such an exciting message that I couldn't get to sleep until nearly midnight (and I have to get up at 6 a.m. ha ha) but here I am and it's nearly 2p.m. and I'm still awake! At times I have felt that maybe I'm not as on fire as I should be for Jesus. But when you spoke about the first thing on our minds in the morning, during the day and the last thing at night and that this was our passion I wanted to jump up and shout hallelujah! The first thing I do when I wake up is say thank you to the Father… During the day I am blessed because I work for a Christian organization so my mind is always on Him and at night He is the last thing on my mind and my lips... Why sometimes if I get up during the night I even have Him on my mind then! So what I am trying to say is that God spoke through you to me and let me know that I am on the right path.
May God continue to bless you and your family as you bless others.

SUN 19TH - WED 22ND - FULL GOSPEL CHURCH IN WALL, NJ,

"We just concluded our Crusade with Jeff Beacham, and have praise reports rolling in. I am excited about what the Lord is doing as a result of the faithful ministry of Jeff Beacham. I must say his pre-crusade advice was so helpful. All the people that were saved during the crusade were being prayed for and invited to the church as a result of the soul search lists provided by Firepower Ministries International… Individuals and groups prayed for 2 months prior to the crusade and strongholds were pulled down. In our church of 175 we saw 10 first time conversions, at least that many backsliders that came home and the altars filled every night with people of all ages seeking more of Jesus. There were several filled with the baptism of the Holly Spirit, including my own son. He went to sleep that night singing in the Spirit. One lady, a new convert from the Awake America Crusade, went home after the service and was singing worship songs when all of a sudden she began to speak in tongues. She had not even been seeking the baptism just more of Jesus.

God healed a man who was deaf in one ear as he was leaving. The service was over but he was stopped and prayed for and the deaf ear of 6 years was opened. Praise the Lord! I know we are going to hear more praise reports as time goes on. I am thankful for how the Lord has worked through Jeff and met a congregation that was and still is hungry for Him.

PUTTING THE ROOTS DOWN

Early in April we signed, sealed and moved into our first home here in New Jersey. One pastor said that something happens in the realm of spiritual authority when a man purchases land in an area; it is an announcement that you are committed and will not be in a rush to go away.

How we were able to buy this house with very little money, no credit history and being here for only one year still amazes me. The cliché that immediately comes to mind is "Only in America", but I prefer "Only in God!"

Amongst all the business of moving, I still traveled around the Northeast a lot during the month. Following is a report and some great testimonies.

HOUSE OF DAVID RADIO MINISTRY (WWDJ) AND WORSHIP SERVICE - FRIDAY, MARCH 31.

Sue Ten Eyck is responsible for Intercession, prayer and many other things for EAGLES WINGS MINISTRIES. She and Pastor Bill Fritzky hosted this week's broadcast of the weekly HOD radio broadcast on WWDJ, one of NY/NJ's largest Christian radio stations. I was invited to be interviewed on this show and then to minister at the following worship service held at THE METROCHURCH, Saddlebrook, NJ. Sue reports:

"What a blessing it was to have you join with us for the weekly House of David radio broadcast and the House of David gathering. We are truly seeing the release of the Psalm 133 blessing as churches, ministries, and believers come together in worship and intercession to minister to the Lord and cry out for revival for the NYC/NJ area.

We are so deeply encouraged by your life testimony, and we know that God has sent you here "for such a time as this." Many people were touched as you shared the vision the Lord gave you about [The Great Wheel Of Re-Awakening] with the hub of unity, the spokes of prayer, purpose power and passion, and the teeth, which were the many ministries the Lord will use in our region.

Our hearts were inspired as you shared about the dry season in the Outback and how every living creature desperately looks for water and cries out for rain, and then surely, the rain comes. There was such a powerful time of ministry afterward.

GLAD TIDINGS TABARNACLE, MT. EPHRAIM NJ - SUNDAY APRIL 2
This great church in Southwest Jersey is full of life and is pastored by BILL AND MARY BRENDEL, some of our greatest supporters since we have been here in America. We visited Bill's church twice last year and as a result, he and I decided to have a series of Sunday revival meetings each month.

This Sunday was fantastic with many flocking to the altar in response. My wife HEATHER, and my second son DAVID (15) were with me on this visit, and both assisted me in the ministry time. David was asked to pray for all the young people. Many were touched, fired up and encouraged.

JESUS IS LORD FELLOWSHIP, TOMS RIVER NJ - SUNDAY APRIL 9
PASTOR NESTOR ARELLANO, who originally came from the PHILIPPINES (a nation close to my heart and close to Australia) has successfully melded his culture with American culture and his church reflects this. It was great to see all kinds of people in his service. We had a wonderful time with his church and enjoyed this little touch of ASIA in New Jersey.

VAN NEST AG, THE BRONX, NY - SUNDAY APRIL 16
This Sunday promised to be a real marathon as I was booked to speak at all four services; 8.30am, 10.30am, 4pm and 7pm.

PASTOR DAVID HERQUEST has proven himself to be a man of prayer because he has dedicated himself to pray every morning at 5am in the church, which he has done for over a year now. He testifies that it has done more in him that anything else, but there is also great fruit in his church. Van Nest AG is a real lighthouse to this spiritually dark area.

The power of the Holy Spirit really moved in all four services including the 4pm one which is almost exclusively for the Ghanaian people who live in the general area. I felt at home in that service, having assisted in raising up a large group of Ghanaians in our Sydney church.

I was exhausted but gratified when the forth service ended late on Sunday evening.

VICTORY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP, PHILADELPHIA PA - FRIDAY APRIL 21 (GOOD FRIDAY)

A very good "Good Friday" crowd turned out for this my third visit to PASTOR ED CRENSHAW'S church, since January this year. They were challenged by a message that God had given me called "The Agony And The Ecstasy" which fitted perfectly with this day remembering the Crucifixion. There came a new appreciation for the extent of Christ's suffering and the length He was prepared to go to for us to be saved.

TRENTON CRUSADE, TRENTON NJ - APRIL 27 - 30  PASTORS RUSSEL BATHEA AND MORRIS BENDER

PASTOR MORRIS BENDER of Life Gate Christian Assembly sent this report of the wonderful time of ministry we had over last weekend in the New Jersey State Capital, TRENTON.

"Two Trenton inner-city churches hosted Firepower Ministries International for six revival/renewal meetings last weekend. …The Holy Spirit gave us a breakthrough on Friday in the Spirit after the message, when Jeff began to pray for people. The presence of God really came throughout the building and the power of God really moved. Before that time, the oppression that seems to hover many times over that area, really broke and the remaining meetings were characterized by freedom.

One of the Pastors from another church in the greater Trenton area, who attended most of the meetings, was healed of a chronic kidney problem. In a show of unity, she brought her entire church to the meetings on Sunday morning and then again Sunday evening. The unity between the three churches was truly a working of God's Spirit, as men and women from all races and several countries, came together to worship God in a wonderful display of God's love. Truly that is the way the Body of Christ is supposed to be, as the unity and love between the churches brought a wonderful presence of the Holy Spirit into the meetings.

One of the things that God is accomplishing in Trenton is to bring the inner-city and suburban churches together. God is using meetings such as these, to help accomplish this.

One former crack addict came under strong conviction during the first meeting, and was back every night passing out fliers in his former neighborhood.

On Saturday afternoon, Jeff preached in a street meeting in the 'projects' near the church. Hundreds heard the Gospel message. Even a young believer in our church commented that when you leave the area right where the outreach was going on, the demonic presence is overwhelming.

So, I think God accomplished some wonderful things during those 6 days. There was just a wonderful flowing of unity... The presence of God on Sunday morning and evening was wonderful, as the Holy Spirit truly accomplished much.

VISIT BY FRANK AND HAZEL HOUSTON
Heather and I and the kids were thrilled to have FRANK AND HAZEL HOUSTON from SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA visiting with us over the last week.

As many of you will know, FRANK HOUSTON was the General Superintendent of the AG in New Zealand before moving to Australia in 1977 at the age of 55 and founding SYDNEY CHRISTIAN LIFE CENTRE. This church has grown to over 2000 since then and was used greatly in the recent revival in Australia. SCLC has pioneered well over 70 other churches, amongst them HILLS CHRISTIAN LIFE CENTRE, the home of the world wide praise and worship phenomenon "HILLSONGS", which has 7000 members.

I worked closely with Frank for 16 years and it had been very difficult leaving him and the church to come to America but we knew it was God's will. It was a highlight for us to have them with us. We caught up with all the news from our former home and continued to enjoy Frank's wisdom from over 55 years in the ministry.

FMI REPORT MAY 2000 - AUSSIE INVASION SPARKS OFF DELAYED HOMESICKNESS, BACK ON TRACK IN THE NORTHEAST AND A TOUCH
OF INDONESIA.

AUSSIE INVASION
May was a month of AUSSIE INVASION! It started with a visit from the FRANK AND HAZEL HOUSTON (see last months report) and continued on with LINLEY REIDY and her three kids who grew up with our three youngest at SYDNEY CITY CHRISTIAN LIFE CENTER. This had a big effect on our youngest son ISAAC (8). He had hardly missed a beat since we arrived here a little over a year ago. He had never complained about anything and seemed to take our momentous move from Australia all in his stride. But with his friend MICHAEL REIDY here this would change.

I received a call saying that Isaac was in great distress at school . I left my office and went to see what was wrong with him. He came out from his class room, tears rolling down his cheeks insisting on speaking to me 'in private'. "You have to get me a ticket on the same plane as Michael back to Australia tomorrow" he insisted; "I've got to go back!!" - It seems that a whole year's homesickness had suddenly hit him all at once. Feeling more than a little lost for words, I assured him that one day he could go back if he wanted to - I mean what do you say to a kid whose Dad is here on the Call of God, but he's here on the call of dad!

He was very uncharacteristically somber for the next few days until one of his 'best' friends (GARY PANEPINTO, administrative pastor at THE CHURCH OF GRACE AND PEACE), aware of his plight, came and picked him up on his big touring motor bike and took him to IHOP for breakfast one day. That helped get the smile back on his dial.

A few days later we were visited by AL AND CATHY FUREY, evangelist friends who are based at Sydney City Christian Life Center, and then we had Australian missionaries to Khazikstan, PAUL AND NARELLE KELVIN stay for a few days. Paul is a 'fair dinkum' (the real article) Aussie and makes the 'Crockodile Man' look like a wimp. He recently contracted the life threatening disease typhoid on a missions trip to PAPUA NUI GUINEA, but just kept right on preaching.

BACK ON TRACK IN THE NORTHEAST
Buying and moving house takes up an enormous amount of time and energy, and caused us to loose a little momentum in the ministry over the last couple of months, but now that we are getting settled into our new home, I am fully focused back on our vision.

I have also been involved in several other projects, including working on the steering committee for THE UNITED IN PRAYER GATHERING at the NEW JERSEY CONVENTION CENTER, JUNE 5 & 6, with several leaders from the PENSACOLA REVIVAL including PASTOR JOHN KILPATRICK, worship leader LINDELL COOLEY, DR. MICHAEL BROWN, intercessor LILA TERHUNE and "GOD CHASER" TOMMY TENNEY. I have also been lending a little assistance to my friend ED CRENSHAW, who is chairing the steering committee for the AWAKE AMERICA CRUSADE in PHILADELPHIA, June 26 - 27.

We have also been continuing to travel around the Northeast stirring up spiritual passion and hunger for Christ.

EDUCATOR'S AFFIRMATION DAY
SUNDAY MAY 7, 10AM - THE CHURCH OF GRACE AND PEACE (GAP), TOMS RIVER NJ.

This meeting was one in a series where we are partnering with GAP to affirm various sections of the community. Earlier, we had a 'GOVERNMENT SUNDAY' for all the local politicians, 'THE LAW AND ORDER AFFIRMATIVE' for all those involved in law enforcement, and this Sunday was for everyone involved in Education.

It would be so easy to fall in line with every other denigrator of these vital aspects of society who have suffered a steady erosion of respect for their professions over the last 30 -40 years. However, we have a vision to build up those involved and show some appreciation for what is often considered a thankless task.

On SUNDAY, AUGUST 6, 10AM AT GAP, we will have a special day for all the business people in the community.

SUNDAY MAY 7, 7PM - GLAD TIDINGS AG, MT EPHRAIM NJ
This was our forth visit to GLAD TIDINGS in less than a year and it was another fantastic night of HOLY GHOST POWER at this wonderful church. These folk are so open and hungry for a new dimension in God.

SUNDAY MAY 14 - INDONESIAN FULL GOSPEL F-SHIP, QUEENS NY.
We have a great heart for the nation of INDONESIA. I ministered there several times prior to coming to the States, and developed a love for the nation and the people. Sadly, Indonesia has become one of the main front-lines of religious persecution against Christians by Moslems with thousands losing their lives in the last 18 months as hostilities escalate.

PASTOR DANIEL RACHMAT came to the United States from Indonesia 10 years ago and birthed THE INDONESIAN FULL GOSPEL FELLOWSHIP in the heart of the Indonesian community in QUEENS, NEW YORK. I met Daniel and his wife Xenia late last year at a minister's breakfast and we immediately struck up a rapport, discovering that we had many mutual friends in Indonesia.

Like a lot of Asian churches, it is full of young people and full of life. Many responded to my message which challenged all to a passion for soul winning and Christ. The POWER OF GOD touched a full altar and lives were changed.

I was thrilled to be in this little touch of Indonesia in the middle of NEW YORK CITY, and to top it all off, after the service, we all got together for 'MAKAN' (food). Indonesian food, with it's exotic and aromatic flavors, is one of my favorites eating experiences.

SUNDAY MAY 21 AND WEDNESDAY MAY 24 - KING OF KINGS COMMUNITY CHURCH, MANAHAWKIN NJ.

PAT SHARKEY'S KING OF KINGS COMMUNITY CHURCH in MANAHAWKIN, on the South Jersey Shore, would have to be the closest thing to a typical 'Aussie' country church I have encountered here in the US. There is a refreshing lack of protocol and an infusion of 'beach culture', which is very Australian. Having said that, this was not 'hicksville' by any means. This church had excellent worship and was full of young people. Even though it is an evangelical church, they are very open to the things of the Spirit.

There were several reports of people being healed and changed by the Lord.
CHURCH, LITTLE FERRY NJ.

PASTOR CHARLES MILLAR'S church just keeps going from strength to strength, having almost doubled since we first visited it less than a year ago.
Ably assisted by his son Sam, who is in charge of worship, there is a new enthusiasm touching this long established work.

I brought a challenging message to forsake mediocrity, and not to settle for 'comfortable Christianity'

SUNDAY JUNE 4 - CALVARY LIGHTHOUSE CHURCH IN LAKEWOOD NJ.

The month of June began with a wonderful time of ministry at CALVARY LIGHTHOUSE CHURCH in LAKEWOOD NJ with PASTOR OTTO DIETRICH, who came to AMERICA from EUROPE 21 years ago. Since then he has forged one of the largest AG churches in the South Jersey area.

I would estimate that one third of the church responded to the altar call to receive fresh fire and there followed a time of extended ministry for healing and empowerment.

SPECIAL REPORT: MON. & TUES., JUNE 5 & 6
"UNITED IN PRAYER" GATHERING, EDISON NJ.

Who was it who said that you can tell who loves their church by who comes out on Sunday morning; who loves the pastor by who shows up Sunday night - but who loves Jesus by who comes out to the prayer meeting?

Anyway, whoever it was, they made a sad but profound statement. The prayer meeting has often been the lowest attended function on our church program; 'THE CINDERELLA' of meetings as my friend and "GOD CHASER" TOMMY TENNEY put it recently during THE UNITED IN PRAYER GATHERING at the NEW JERSEY CONVENTION CENTER, EDISON NJ, JUNE 5 & 6. I worked for several months on the local steering committee organizing this conference.

But, this attitude to prayer is changing rapidly around the world and there certainly is a new recognition of the importance of prayer here in the NORTHEAST, and the integral part it plays in advancing the cause of UNITY, which, of course, is a main precursor of revival.

Tommy joined with several leaders from the PENSACOLA REVIVAL including PASTOR JOHN KILPATRICK, worship leader LINDELL COOLEY, DR. MICHAEL BROWN and intercessor LILA TERHUNE, for this very special time with GOD. Four hundred and fifty people registered for the all but one session on Tuesday night, which being open to all, saw 2500 -2700 attend. Episcopalian ministers, Catholic priests, Salvation Army, Pentecostals, Charismatics and many other leaders from diverse streams came from all over the Tri-State area, Pennsylvania and further afield.

On the opening night PASTOR JOHN KILPATRICK, whose 'PARTNERS IN REVIVAL' ministry co-sponsored this event, declared that he felt GOD was strongly impressing on him to return to the NORTHEAST within 90 days for another UNITED IN PRAYER GATHERING. In tune with a growing number of voices, he said that he believed that God was "…up to something big here". Stay tuned!

DR. MICHAEL BROWN shared a 'heart-cutting' message on the way the church has treated the Jews throughout history, and yet there will be no consummation of Christianity without the salvation of ISRAEL. PASTOR KILPATRICK'S pastoral exhortation to welcome adversity as a perfector of our faith encouraged many. LINDELL COOLEY hopes that we will be so consumed with worship that he and other worship leaders will be made redundant. LILA TERHUNE saw a new season of intercession and TOMMY TENNEY doesn't want a visitation so much as a lasting 'habitation' of the Presence of God.

The final night was not a night of preaching, but of sustained, structured prayer, drama and worship centered around banners, which play a major role in the pray life of the PENSACOLA REVIVAL. Banners were paraded bringing a focus of prayer on issues as wide as school violence, drugs, abortion, racism, the Government and the Peace of Jerusalem. The sick were prayed for in there hundreds and all the ministers present were personally anointed by the main speakers. The night culminated in a massive crescendo of praise that I felt could have very easily and literally lifted the roof off of the auditorium.

PASTOR WALT HEALY, who chaired the steering committee, commented; "Words fail to describe what the Tuesday evening crusade was like, not to mention the daytimes. I think about 2700 attended a four hour prayer meeting - wow, groundbreaking!

This was no 'Cinderella' prayer meeting but one where a Bride was met by her King!

THURSDAY, JUNE 8 - FIRST SPANISH PENTECOSTAL CHURCH, CAMDEN, NJ.

This vibrant and large Hispanic church in south west New Jersey, has been having services just about every night for many months now. I was asked to minister in a series of revival meetings this week which also included the ministry of STEVE HILL, who recently retired from the PENSACOLA REVIVAL. (see more under report on 'BROWNSVILLE REVIVAL SCHOOL OF MINISTRIES SUMMER SERIES' below).

Assistant pastor, DAVID RUSI, sent this testimony of what GOD did the night we ministered at FSPC:

"The service started like any other service. When the Lord started using
Brother Beacham, the atmosphere changed. His message impacted the Church. Bro. Beacham showed that we needed passion for Jesus and he will give us power. It was awesome!

That was just the beginning. When he did the alter call half of the Church ran up to the alter. We had pastors visiting us from MEXICO, PUERTO RICO, and a minister from the charismatic movement in the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. They all testified that they were impacted by the move of the Holy Spirit. The Lord gave words of Prophecy, that confirmed many of the people's ministries…. Thank you for letting God use you when you came to our Church."

SAT. JUNE 10 - EVANGELICALS, PENTECOSTALS, CHARISMATICS AND CATHOLICS UNIFY FOR JD2K (JESUS DAY 2000)

TUCKERTON NJ is a small town at the southern Jersey Shore that at one time was the 3rd port of entry into America. Evangelicals, Pentecostals,
Charismatics and Catholics came together for the JD2K March (along with
millions of others around the world) believing that God will open the
heavens over the Tuckerton area to become a "port of entry" for the glory
of God.

The local steering committee was composed of PASTOR STEVE HARTMAN of
LIGHTHOUSE ALLIANCE CHURCH, PASTOR STEVE MEARS of LIVING WATER CHRISTIAN CENTER, PASTOR AL PANDOLA of RIVER OF LIFE FAMILY CHURCH, and FATHER KENARD TUZENEU of ST. MARY'S PARISH, a large catholic church of 4500 people.

Fifteen hundred people turned out for the march which was followed by a day long celebration with music in a local park. I preached to an excited crowd challenging them about the urgent need for the restoration of biblical standards in America.

SUNDAY JUNE 11 - CALVARY TEMPLE, WAYNE NJ.

On this day PASTOR RICHARD FOGEL was celebrating the tenth anniversary of moving his church into CALVARY TEMPLE, WAYNE NJ. As one of the largest churches in the north east of New Jersey, Calvary Temple has promoted and hosted many revival focused events in recent years.

I shared the prophetic word and vision that God had given me for the Northeast of America (see: http://www.firepowerint.com/comingwheel.htm ) and also a message called "SIX MEN WHO MISSED GOD". There was a tremendous time of ministry following.

SUNDAY JUNE 25 - CHRISTIAN LIFE FELLOWSHIP, JACKSON NJ.

This was my second visit to PASTOR TOM GEOFFROY'S church. Tom and his church were highlighted recently on the national media in America due to his efforts to bring reconciliation between two families which were divided due to a tragic murder involving both families. What had caught the attention of such well known media personalities as BARBARA WALTERS, was the demonstration of Christian forgiveness in a seemingly unforgivable situation.

TUES - FRID, JUNE 27 - 30, - BROWNSVILLE REVIVAL SCHOOL OF MINISTRIES SUMMER SERIES.

I was invited some time ago, by my friend DR MICHAEL BROWN, president of BRSM, to teach one week of a six week series of Summer Seminars which would be not only for the benefit of those who would attend, but would also be videoed for a future 'distance education' program.

My subject was "GLOBAL REVIVAL NOW!" Amongst other things I discussed; "The Destiny of the US and the World: Revival or Judgement?", "The Power and the Passion, the Agony and the Ecstasy- The four missing ingredients of the western church", and "Prayer, Purpose and Unity- Three vital ingredients for re-awakening".

I taught a very diverse group for a total of 8 hours, who had come from such places as; HOLLAND, INDONESIA, BRITAIN, IRELAND, GERMANY, AUSTRIA, SWITZERLAND and also many from all over the Good Ol' USA.

Revival meetings are continuing just as strong as ever at the BROWNSVILLE AG church in PENSACOLA, if the Friday night meeting I attended is any indication. BISHOP JOSEPH GARLINGTON ministered an impacting message to a packed house on the majesty of God, which saw a large response to the altar call. I was invited to assist in the following ministry time which went on until midnight and which demonstrated no diminishing of hunger for God on the part of the people.

Recently, STEVE HILL relocated his family and ministry to DALLAS TEXAS, from PENSACOLA. Steve had gone to preach for one meeting but ended up staying for five years at the BROWNSVILLE AG Church. Following is a statement issued recently by senior pastor JOHN KILPATRICK concerning Steve's new change:

'I want to express my deep love and appreciation to Steve Hill for his steadfast dedication over the past five years. He has, for the greater part of that time, prepared and preached a fresh word four nights a week. His has been a superhuman effort which is greatly admired by all who understand the commitment required to do this. Steve now has a burden to take his message across America and the world. I respect him for that and release him to do what God has laid on his heart to do."

You never know how much power there is in a few well chosen words given to a soul that is ripe for salvation in an everyday situation when you go shopping. Following is a testimony which I received recently from a man I met on such an occasion nearly two years ago.

We had a wonderful time at each of these churches. Following are some encouraging testimonies from some of these meetings. We will forward on more as they come in.

BROWNSVILLE REVIVAL - A BITTER / SWEET TESTIMONY.
Late in June, I ministered for a week at the BROWNSVILLE REVIVAL SCHOOL OF MINISTRY (see FMI Report, June '00). Following is a bitter / sweet testimony from a pastor's wife who attended the Summer School. Bitter because of the opposition her and her husband encountered from their denomination; sweet because God delivered her from the bitterness that resulted from that opposition.

"Dear Jeff,
I'm writing to let you know how blessed I was to be at Brownsville Assembly of God [Summer School} and hear the teaching on Thurs. and Fri. I sat there soaking it all in and trying to take plenty of notes to bring home for my husband.

I received some emotional healing during the prayer time on Friday night. I'm sure you pray for so many people that you couldn't possibly remember them all, but I came to you for prayer twice that night. The Lord told me to ask you for prayer the second time. I asked you to pray for my husband and the ministry we are in. He is a pastor of a ……* church that was experiencing revival along with three other …….. churches [in our area].

We were seeing people saved, healed, delivered and many people were falling in love with Jesus. People's lives were really being changed. But the head of our …… association called the pastors of the three churches and told them this move was not of God. My husband was the only pastor that stood up and said; "look at the fruits and you will see this is God." He has been hurt by so many pastors in this town, even our pastor from our home church has told us we should change denominations. I was so bitter up until that Friday night, but God removed that so I would not be hindered of Him using me.

We see how God wants to do so much in the church we are in, but every time we have a breakthrough the religious demons stir up trouble. If you can pray for us, we would be so thankful. Pray that God will show us His will for our lives. If He wants us to move on, we are willing to do whatever or where ever. Also, pray for God to send my husband a mentor. A GREAT TESTIMONY

On Sunday July 30 I spoke the morning service at the GOSPEL FELLOWSHIP CHURCH in PLAINSBORO NJ. and at "LIFE CENTER" ( this church's Sunday Night outreach youth service). Youth leader BRIAN DUANE sent this report:

"… I was blessed to see God move mightily that night, Jeff Challenged us to live lives of honor. The word called us to not white-wash sin, but to call it as it is. This call was heeded by many people young and old… Many young people who have been teetering on the edge of faith, turned their hearts to make a decision to follow the Lord without regret. One young man, for whom I have been praying, responded to the word by giving his heart to the Lord completely. Following this first call, Jeff was impressed to pray for those who needed physical healing. Many people came in faith to receive the healing which the Lord was releasing. People were receiving healing from knee injuries, foot problems and even Lactose intolerance, about which Jeff had the word of wisdom "you will not drink milk". God moved mightily Sunday evening and we are looking forward to seeing new disciple mature, and those who were healed releasing that same healing to others.

Here is a testimony of healing from ROBIN SILVESTRO:

"I was having a tremendous amount of pain with my knee, especially my right knee recently. I stair-climb for exercise and when I would, my right knee would get stiff. swollen and fill with water. I received prayer for healing Sunday Night when Jeff spoke at Life Center … I have been able to run the stairs with little difficulty. I have had little to no swelling or stiffness for the last two nights, praise the Lord!"

SOME TEN THOUSAND EVANGELISTS BRING THEIR STRUGGLES AND STORIES TO AMSTERDAM 2000

Personal Sacrifice Is Part of the Itinerary for Many Attending The Worldwide Conference on Evangelism

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, Aug. 2, 2000-One man used the profits from the sale of his home to travel to Amsterdam. Another dodged bullets and
navigated his way around mines to leave his war-torn homeland. Zambian
evangelist Stuart Sichilong sold his crop, the profits from which would
have been used to feed his family for a year, so he could afford to attend
Amsterdam 2000.

"I made $300 so I could travel to the conference. I also need your prayers
so God can see me through so I can feed my family," said Rev. Sichilong.
The throng of participants that heard Rev. Sichilong's story Monday night
responded with prayers and donations.

Hundreds of evangelists have also had problems obtaining travel visas from
their governments, many of which are not sympathetic to the Christian cause. In some cases, a trip to Amsterdam was the prize for scaling a
mountain of red tape.

"It took me seven days to get here," said Rev. Ade Beckley of Sierra Leone.
"But it was worth it because it will help me preach in a dangerous place
where the Gospel is not always welcome."

In some cases, traveling evangelists thought they had enough money to make the trip only to learn that their governments had devalued their currency. Amsterdam 2000, THE MOST INTERNATIONALLY REPRESENTATIVE GATHERING, SECULAR OR RELIGIOUS, IN HISTORY, has attracted 10,287 participants and just as many stories. They've come from 209 countries and territories to attend the worldwide conference on evangelism, which has attracted evangelists from 37 more nations than Amsterdam '86. The conference features 900 plenary and teaching sessions conducted by some of the world's top Christian leaders.

unites people of different cultures and backgrounds in one simple purpose:
to prepare them to use new and more effective ways to present the Gospel.
Seventy-five percent of the participants come from developing nations.

Samaritan's Purse, the international relief organization headed by Franklin Graham, is on the scene in Amsterdam listening to participants' suggestions for relief projects in their home countries. Potential work could include feeding programs, building orphanages, and installing clean water systems.

HEALINGS INCREASE, MORE AUSSIES IN NEW JERSEY AND AT THE CALL IN WASHINGTON DC

We trust that you will continue to enjoy our monthly FMI Reports. As well as reporting on highlights of our own ministry, we like to include news about other significant events that are of current interest (see report on THE CALL below). I ministered with several churches over the month of AUGUST. Following are reports from these meetings and other news.

FRIDAY 4TH - BETHANY AG, WYCOFFE NJ,
BETHANY AG has been a key church in North Jersey for several years. Friday nights have been a focus on spiritual renewal and revival. PASTOR DON JAMES has had us ministering here several times since we arrived in the US, but this Friday was very different. I spoke a message focusing in on this very pivotal time in America's history - perhaps the most crucial period for the last 150 years. Choices made in the next few months will polarize the future. I felt to anoint the sick with oil and many were healed form thyroid problems to heart disease, bad knees and backs. The oil flowed freely.

SUNDAY 6TH - THE CHURCH OF GRACE AND PEACE, TOMS RIVER NJ
"BUSINESS RECOGNITION SUNDAY" was a special day where I ministered in our own church encouraging those in business to see that they can have a very effective ministry in the marketplace. I was inspired by RICH MARSHALL'S latest book: "GOD@WORK" which sees the Kingdom of God made up of Kings and Priests (business people and ministers respectively). Rev 1:6 - "To Him who loved us…and has made us kings and priests…".
Often, what the church today has failed to recognize is that just as someone may be anointed to preach, lead worship, sing or pray for the sick, so can someone be anointed for business. (You can order this revolutionary book through our ministry - see contact details below).

FRID 11TH AND FRID 18TH - CALVARY AG JERSEY CITY,
PASTORS MARIO AND LEIGH GONZALES asked me to return to their church for two Friday nights of wonderful ministry. The mainly young congregation responded with great passion, some getting right with God for the first time and others making a recommitment. Mario and Leigh are embarking on a major new venture in JERSEY CITY called THE HOPE CENTER, a Christian Arts training facility, which has received the local support of the mayor and many other city leaders, and is also receiving the backing of the national ASSEMBLIES OF GOD.

SUN 20TH - WED 23RD - WINSLOW FAITH ASSEMBLY, WINSLOW NJ
We had three powerful meetings with PASTOR SIG CANALES in South Jersey. Many reported being healed from various diseases.

SUN 27TH - WED 30TH - WORD OF LIFE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES, DOVER NJ
"Thank you, Jeff Beacham!
This past week's series of meetings were a blessing to all who attended. Firepower Ministries certainly brought the fire and the power to Word Of Life Christian Ministries here in Dover. Jeff's messages were anointed and provided direction, correction and wisdom for this present hour. He was an encouragement to the body, motivating each of us to find God's place for us and then walk united. His opening sermon on the blessings of honor and the curses of dishonor touched many hearts. The ensuing altar call was clear proof of that. The call to raise up America again was both convicting and inspiring. The message concerning the role of business people in expanding the Kingdom of God opened new visions for those who thought the church ministry was the only avenue to reach souls.

There was a clear smell of fire in the air. The altar calls were powerful. Several people immediately received healing and others were overcome by the fresh oil of the Spirit. Bill Boehl's wife was unable to attend the meetings so Bill took home a handkerchief which Jeff prayed over. The results were immediate. Bill placed the handkerchief on his wife as she slept. The next morning she reported that the constant pain from her torn rotator cuff and migraine headaches was completely gone. Sharon Bollmann reported her viral infection was taken from her. One gentleman said he had a severe herniated disk problem which was supported by a back brace. . . he walked out without the brace on. We anticipate we will hear of more healings in the future.

SECOND WAVE OF AUSTRALIAN INVASION
Over one week in the middle of August, we had four of our 'Aussie' (pronounced 'Ozzie") friends stop by to visit and / or minister:

Former General superintendent of the ASSEMBLIES OF GOD IN AUSTRALIA, and recently elected secretary of the WORLD AG, ANDREW EVANS returned to minister a second time at THE CHURCH OF GRACE AND PEACE (GAP), Sunday August 13. In a Pastor's and leaders meeting the next day he shared on; "SIMPLE PRINCIPLES TO MAKE CHURCH GROW." The tape of this message is a must form all serious leaders. The same week DAVID REIDY from the HILLSONG CHURCH in SYDNEY AUSTRALIA ministered at GAP and at RIVER OF LIFE FAMILY CHURCH with our good friends, PASTORS AL AND CAROL PANDOLA. RFLC have been having revival services Wednesday through Sunday for several months now and have seen tremendous fruit as a result.

We also had a very quick visit from JARED MCGHIE, grandson of FRANK HOUSTON and one of my son SAM's best friends. Jared was on his way to college in ALABAMA.

Family friend SUMMER CONRAD from our church in AUSTRALIA was also with us for several months. Summer, who is now twenty, has been like a sister to our kids since she was three

THE CALL - WASHINGTON DC, SEPTEMBER 2 2000

YOUTH WANT A SPIRITUAL REVOLUTION
Outbursts of joy and weeping rang out on the Mall in Washington, D.C., Sept. 2 as tens of thousands of young Christians held an intense dawn-to-dusk prayer service.....The rally, known as THE CALL DC (see link #1 below), drew Christians from across the country and as far away as AUSTRALIA for a nonstop procession of speakers and singers from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.... One of the most meaningful segments was a time of confession for the legacy of sin that the BABY BOOMER generation, growing up in the 1960s and 1970s, said they had left. ...."A demonic decree has been released on your generation and mine," shouted event organizer LOU ENGLE, associate pastor of HARVEST ROCK CHURCH in PASADENA, CALIF. "You're a hated people by the powers of darkness."....Many teen-agers committed themselves to living a radical lifestyle, accepting an identity that is separate and set apart from society, and confronting the sinful world.

AUSTRALIAN WORSHIPPERS
About 80 Australians who each paid about $3,000 of their own money to travel to this event-- took the stage at one point to help Americans to repent and prophesy LIFE to the United States....."Prophesy! Prophesy! Prophesy! Prophesy! Prophesy! To the dead bones!" the leader of a praise-and-worship band sang as the crowd jumped and screamed along, according to The Washington Post (see link #2 below).....Contemporary gospel singer MICHAEL W. SMITH sang a tribute to CASSIE BERNALL, the student slain at COLUMBINE HIGH SCHOOL when she reportedly answered "yes" when a gunman asked her if she believed in God. Several students from Columbine lit a torch and carried it on stage, and DARRELL SCOTT, father of victim RACHAEL SCOTT, passed the torch to his teen-age son, who gave it to others to pass throughout the audience.

....Organizers said they hoped the event would begin a "new spiritual revolution."...."I have never seen so many young people totally sold out for Jesus," one mother said.....Some of the youths and their families plan to begin a 40-day fast on Sept. 20, which is also the day of SEE YOU AT THE POLE, an annual prayer rally at schools around the country. Some plan to give up something they prize, such as television, and others will abstain from solid food altogether and concentrate on prayer, they said.

HEALINGS CONTINUE TO INCREASE, OIL FLOWS FROM CHURCH RAFTERS AND THE WORSHIP LEADER AND THE 'PIANO MAN' !

I ministered with several churches over the month of SEPTEMBER and we saw some wonderful results, but what follows first are several more reports I received of unusual happenings and healings from our ministry in AUGUST.

BETHANY CHURCH, WYCOFFE NJ. AUGUST 4- HEALINGS AND FLOWING OIL!
"We recently had the privilege of once again having Jeff Beacham minister at our Friday night renewal meeting... Jeff has joined us several times but this time was extraordinary. On a night that focused on healing, we saw many people healed.

One lady shared later that she had been fighting ongoing back problems for months with no relief. As Jeff prayed over her she felt release in her back and by the next day she woke up and the pain was totally gone. Praise God Another man also testified in a later service that the same night Jeff came, he too had God touch his back and heal a long term difficulty he had been dealing with. Another lady shared about a healing in her kidneys.

As great as all this was, there was something that happened that night that is hard to explain, but witnessed by hundreds of people. At some point during the healing ceremony, oil that smelled like roses began to drip from all six doors that enter the sanctuary. Even as the doors were wiped off more oil ran for a period of about an hour. There was also some oil that was running down the wooden rafters [25-30 feet high] toward the floor. The room was filled with a powerful sense of God's presence and a testimony God was there to heal.

I thank the Lord for Jeff's sensitivity to what the Holy Spirit was doing and his willingness to go with it. Jeff's word and ministry has been a real blessing to the meetings and his strong desire to see God move in this region an added blessing to our endeavor.

WORD OF LIFE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES, DOVER NJ, AUGUST 27-30
Dear Jeff,
I just wanted you to know that I so enjoyed having you at our Church the entire week that you were there. My testimony is this: I was diagnosed with a benign 2 inch cyst on one of my ovaries the end of July. I went to see my gynecologist last Saturday, September 9th & he said he didn't feel or see anything at all. He wants me to get the radiology report sent to him. Praise God! The day before I went I knew the Doctor was going to say that. When I came to your meetings I believed that God was going to heal me of the cyst. Bless you & yours & your Ministry and hope to hear from you soon!!!

We ministered in two great services for PASTOR DON AND ROSE FOSTER'S church. I prayed for the sick and many made commitments to Christ. We will be returning to do more meetings for this church at a later date.
FRID. AND SUN. SEPT. 8 &10 - CALVARY AG, STATEN ISLAND NY,
PASTOR JAMES MERCER'S daughter SARAH is a talented young singer / songwriter who has just finished recording here first CD. This weekend was the official launch and she performed several songs off the album. The meetings were held in a large tent erected on the church property. We will return for more ministry at this church November 3 & 5.

SUN. SEPT. 17 - 19 - GRACE AG , BREWSTER NY,
PASTOR RAY MELLETT'S younger brother MICHAEL and his new bride FIONA lead worship for these meetings. Michael is a well known professional singer from NASHVILLE, TN, and has toured extensively with 'piano man' BILLY JOEL. The worship paved the way for a tremendous time of ministry which saw several healings and many changed lives. Following are several testimonies:

"…I was pleased with the turnout, knowing what I've been experiencing around here. I could see that the word went out and people came out and were hungry. I thought the altar demonstrated the effectiveness of the meetings. Now we just keep plugging away and keep
fanning into flame what the Lord is doing.

… It was great spending time with you and we thoroughly enjoyed your ministry here…The Lord did something fresh in us this week, especially at the Tuesday night service… Teresa and I were kept awake by the Holy Spirit half the night Wednesday praying into the wee hours of the morning. We both sense that something very special is being birthed in us… We also believe that you planted a seed of that move here this past week that will bear lasting fruit and we thank the Lord for your faithfulness to come and sow in this harvest field. "We enjoyed sharing the Tuesday night celebration. Earlier that day we had received the report of a long awaited CT scan. The doctor said that everything looked the same -2 small cancer lesions in [my wife's] liver. But when we got home at midnight, there were 3 messages from the doctor stating that we needed to call him ASAP for he had very good news! …He informed me with surprise, that the 2 lesions were in fact 50% smaller. I'm sharing this since when we left for the Tuesday night meeting at Grace AG we were somewhat discouraged. But God knows "something" happened, since the news had come while we were at the meeting. Without making too much of this we were very blessed to find a "changed" report after that special time with God's people. In closing, I need to mention that it was no coincidence that the text [you used] was dealing with Hezekiah's "healing..." [2 Kings 20:1-5]. This has become a very intimate passage to us and we praise God if nothing else for this specific encouragement!!

LONG LOST HEALING TESTIMONY
Hi Jeff,
One of the ladies that I work with was testifying of God's healing power when you visited their church at Dayspring Fellowship in Castle Hill Australia (Circa 1995-96). Her daughter used to wear a hearing aid, one night you had an altar call, she went up, you laid your hands over her ears and she was healed. Her mum was saying that the daughter didn't even tell you what she needed prayer for.

Dear Rev. Beacham,
I am writing to thank you for your prayers. I had e-mailed you a few months ago after hearing you at Brownsville AG and told you how God used you to minister to me and you e-mailed me back and said you were going to use my testimony (see FMI REPORT JULY '00 "BROWNSVILLE REVIVAL - A BITTER / SWEET TESTIMONY"). I wanted you to know that your prayers and prayers of people all over have helped us through this battle with religion that we still continue to fight. There are still some days I personally feel like giving up. It hurts so bad to see your husband going after God with all his might and it seems like every demon in hell is fighting against us... Religion is the hardest thing we have come against. I don't understand why people don't care more about souls being saved, people being healed and delivered more than their own selfish wants. We want a move of God more than we want life itself!… I want to tell you the good things that God has been doing. Praise God we have seen over 80 souls saved in the past four months. Most of those were children we bused in from a low income project during Vacation Bible School. We have seen people healed and saved in the nursing home and in the prisons. God is doing things in spite of it all, but if people would let go and let God be God, He could do so much more. God bless you, (Name withheld).

Dear Rev. Beacham,
Thank you so much for your time of sharing and sensitivity to God's Spirit while ministering at Gospel Tabernacle. On Tuesday Night, the 3rd, you prayed for me. I had a chronic pain in my left shoulder for about 2-3 years. Every morning I would wake with this throbbing, piercing pain. That night when you prayed, I didn't feel much different at that moment, but the next morning THE PAIN WAS GONE. PRAISE GOD!!! On Thursday, the 5th, my wife Ivy invited a childhood friend of hers named Vicky [to the service]. That night, Vicky accepted Christ for the first time. You also prophesied over her and said, "may the devourer give an account for the years stolen from her" and to restore to her those years the devil has taken away. Vicky has had several years of great difficulty and was very despondent when she came to the service. Today she says she feels a great peace has come over her since that night and the Bible has come alive to her. She's been sharing her experience with many people and has discovered her own boss is a Christian and has been praying for her for some time. Praise God for his great mercy!!

SUN 15TH - ABUNDANT LIFE CHURCH, ATLANTA GEORGIA.
Heather and I met Pastor WOODROW WALKER and his wife FRANCINE in Toronto in 1994. We immediately felt an affinity with them and I first visited his church in January 1996. A snow and ice storm closed just about every church in ATLANTA that Sunday accept Pastor Walker's church. Following is an amazing testimony from a lady who was in that service in 1996 that I received on my second visit to this church this month.

"Dear Pastor Jeff,
Thank you for ministering at our one year anniversary of "Days of God's Power" at Abundant Life Church in Lithonia, Georgia. We have been seeking His presence with prayer at 6am each morning for the past year and it was truly special to have you celebrate with us. I remember the exact day that you were here last because it so impacted my life. It was January 7, 1996 and I wanted to describe the encounter I had with the Lord on that day.
The Lord woke me up early that morning and pressed on my spirit to attend the New Beginners class even though there was snow and ice on the roads. He told me that He had a blessing waiting for me… Not many people were there so we ended class early which allowed me to catch all of the praise and worship and prayers before the service started.
I remember praying and thanking God for all that He's done for me. You were wrapping up the service with an altar call for those who wanted healing or an anointing from the Holy Spirit. I remember that there was a strong presence of the Lord so I closed my eyes and continued to pray. At that moment, I felt myself shift to the right, as if I was on a conveyor belt. Then I began to spin to the right, slowly at first, then faster and being lifted up at the same time. I was somewhat frightened, but the peace of God came over me. Warm tears ran down my face and I felt like I was in His presence. When the spinning stopped, I opened my eyes and was very surprised to find myself still in the service. I looked around and you had laid hands on all of the members and they were all out under the Power.

I spent a week with PASTOR BART AND CORALEE PIERCE'S Church, ministering in their services and Bible College. This is the church that hosted a revival involving the ministry of TOMMY TENNEY for three years. A main thrust of their vision is to impact the CITY OF BALTIMORE and beyond bringing racial reconciliation in the Church. Jeff has a great love and appreciation for America and especially for the Northeast Area. This was evident throughout his preaching. One of his stories stood out to me, the day he searched for the grave of Jonathan Edwards in the Princeton Cemetery. Finding it, he cried out to God to drop the Mantle of Jonathan Edwards upon him that he might go up and down the states of the Northeast and be a catalyst in another "Great Awakening". I believe that he has received that mantle and I personally have been deeply touched by getting to know him.

On the following day, Sunday, Jeff also was the guest speaker at the Church I pastor, Living Water Full Gospel Church. Again, Jeff's love for America came forth and his gifting became more and more evident as he spoke. In this day when there are so many thousands of "evangelists" I know that I and the congregation were blessed when a true, anointed Evangelist stood up in our midst and brought the message of Jesus forth. I am planning on having Jeff come and preach for a 4 or 5 service "Revival". His understanding into the dynamics of revival and his gifting as an Evangelist are going to make a great impact on our congregation and all whom they reach out to and bring to that series of meetings.

After Jeff spoke I was so challenged that we are entering into 5 months of prayer and fasting for the upcoming "Revival" by adding a second prayer service each week. When someone comes and stirs you and your church so much that you add a second prayer meeting, you know you've been touched by the Lord.

" One of the young girls saved that night also received complete deliverance from satanic attacks she was receiving.
" A 62 year-old man diagnosed with cancer went back to his doctor after you prayed for him and his scans were clear.

In my office [at the hospital where I work] with the tissue [that you anointed] I prayed with several of my patients and they have been healed. The best is a 6 year-old referred to me for hyperactivity. We stayed alone in my office and I asked the family to step out. I took the tissue out and introduced him to the tissue. Last June I ministered for a week at the BROWNSVILLE SCHOOL OF REVIVAL in PENSACOLA FL. Many were at those classes from all around the world including a group from Holland. They recently sent me this great testimony:

CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF PENTECOST AND
"I'M DREAMING OF A WHITE NEW YEAR"

It's a real pleasure for me to be in touch with you again and I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year with your family. Many friends from around here joining us on Christmas day for our first "white Christmas". We also talked by phone to many loved ones and family in Australia and New Zealand.

But we really found out what a 'white' New Year was when we had nearly 18 inches of snow dumped on the Northeast where we live. We had to cancel our ministry over the New Year weekend and everything ground to a halt. Our older boys shoveled snow off the driveway and the two younger boys made snow houses and threw snow balls at each other as the dog bounded around in the deep snow and intercepted a couple of snow balls intended for a sibling. Our daughter Rebekah was wise and stayed indoors.
Many people emailed me to be careful not to slip and almost break my back like I did last year. I assured them I would take extra care.

OPENER - 1900 to 2000, CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF PENTECOST
My friend PASTOR JACK CAIRNS from CAPITAL AG in TRENTON, NEW JERSEY sent the following report commemorating 100 years of PENTECOST in the modern era.

"JANUARY 1, 2001 MARKED THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF MODERN PENTECOST. Here is a condensed historical account of the act's 2 outpouring 100 years ago*.

In the 19th century many believers across the UNITED STATES were being drawn to a Holiness teaching emanating from the WESLEYAN HOLINESS REVIVAL.. One young Methodist preacher, CHARLES PARHAM, moved to embrace this Movement. He liked the emphasis upon divine healing, a "latter rain" outpouring of the Holy Spirit with a renewed emphasis upon soul winning and Missions.

Charles sought a greater personal manifestation of this power. Hearing reports of isolated incidents of 'xenolalic tongues' (speaking other known languages) among missionaries on foreign missions fields, Charles drew significance from these reports. He believed that the SECOND COMING OF CHRIST would be preceded by a great worldwide revival and harvest of souls. This he concluded would happen after the emergence of 'divinely empowered and trained missionaries' and the example of the restoration of the apostolic power to the church in the last days.

Parham (age 27) returned to TOPEKA KANSAS in 1900 and established a Bible School to prepare prospective missionaries for an anticipated outpouring of Holy Spirit power. He taught the essentials of Holiness Doctrine and encouraged his students to search for the true evidence of Holy Spirit reception. He strategically directed them to the account of Acts 2:4 where 'xenolalic tongues' sparked the initial phase of the Apostolic Church's growth.

On January 1, 1901, one of Parham's students (AGNES OZMAN) experienced the expected blessing and sign. During the next few days, Parham and about half of his student body of 34 were baptized. Reception of this breakthrough in faith and experienced was minimal and challenged. Although disappointed, Parham taught his belief in relative obscurity for the next few years with little success.

But revivals of Pentecostal Baptism and Divine Healing began to erupt in diverse places across America. In 1903, GALENA, KANSAS such a revival received great support. Parham, encouraged by this, went to TEXAS in early 1905 and established a string of Apostolic Faith churches and another Bible School homed in HOUSTON TX. The message began to fan out through Texas as students left the school to preach.

One student in Houston was a young black Holiness evangelist named WILLIAM SEYMOUR (age 35). Upon the invitation to become the pastor of a church He left the school in HOUSTON and went to LOS ANGELES, not yet receiving the evidenced of PENTECOSTAL BAPTISM that he believed and preached. But his message was not accepted by local church authority and he was locked out of the church.

Taking refuge with other believers, Seymour participated in home prayer meetings that saw he and others receiving the sought after tongues experience. This sparked an intense revival. Services which began on the front porch of friend RICHARD ASBERRY'S home, grew and eventually saw the revival move into a former AFRICAN METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH .

On April 14, 1906, William Seymour held his first service at 312 AZUSA STREET. By May, more than a thousand people were trying to enter the small mission to witness scenes that rivaled those of the CANE RIDGE REVIVAL a century earlier. The central spiritual feature of the revival was 'GLOSSOLALIA' (speaking in unknown tongues) which electrified the services and attracted many to receive the "baptism".

The revival hasn't ended. Today, 100 years after New Years Day 1901, we are told that Pentecostalism is the fasted growing Christian movement in the world. It is growing at a current rate that if unabated, will witness all Christians in the world being Pentecostal by the year 2020, a true fulfillment of the prophesy of Joel 2;28."
