Is There a Future for the West?

Jeff Beacham

INTRODUCTION
From the first covenant God made with Adam, to the ones He made with Noah, Abraham, David, all have one common theme! And that is 'multiply! In the book of Genesis, God's active admonition is 'multiply and replenish the earth!' Today in the western world, we have turned our back on this 'order'

COMRADES FOR BATTLE

Abortion and modern birth control has robbed this present generation of brothers, sisters, friends, husbands, wives, strength, support, covenant comrades for the battle and most importantly, has threatened the future of our way of life!

Any culture that has a declining birthrate also has a diminishing future. There must be a multiplication rate greater than 2.1 in order for any civilization to persist. Currently, some western nations have dropped below a zero birthrate and will cease to exist in their present form, unless there is a change.

A FALSE FUTURE

Muslims, on the other hand, have been multiplying three or four times faster than the average western family and could claim the promise of Abraham, through his son Ishmael (their father), for a false future.

CROSSING THE LINE IN TRIUMPH

Life is all about the promise of the future. There is no promise if there is no future generation to receive the inheritance and to run with the baton that has been passed by an unselfish generation who are prepared to decrease while they increase!

Baby Boomers (those between 40-65) have focused on the now and not the future! They have been poor transferors of legacy to the next generation, holding on to the baton for too long and possibly robbing the last runner of crossing the finishing line in triumph!

NEW BABY BOOM NEEDED!

Christians must be about the business of multiplying, making 'baby' Christians if our liberty is to preserved.

Perhaps the Catholics had a more multi-generational view than the average evangelical in that they understood the danger of allowing such anti-life and fruitless things as contraception and abortion.

Basically, I'm saying that if we don't have a lot more babies, our way of life will die.

FALSE MORAL LOGIC

Of course, this suggestion is considered 'anathema' in today's politically correct, humanistic culture of individualism, where the focus is on the one rather than the many! Even the emerging generation has been dumbed down to accept the new, but false moral logic of what's right and wrong in our post modern world!

It's time to have babies, people! Life as we know it depends on it!
