ICA Tracks Future and Past

INTRODUCTION

I have just returned from the annual International Coalition of Apostles (ICA) Summit in Orlando, Florida. This is usually one of the more inspiring annual events I attend and this year was no exception.

TIME OF TRANSITION

This was a time of transition where Dr. Peter Wagner announced that he would be stepping down from his senior leadership role and handing over the reigns to ICA founder John Kelly in 2010.

ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT

I spoke on a panel moderated by Che Ahn regarding the Church, media, the Arts and entertainment.

MADE IN CHINA

Perhaps the most impacting panel was on the incredible development of the church in China. It is expected that this nation will have the greatest impact on Christianity in the next 25 years, as China will ascend to be the world financial superpower. It was noted that the center of Christianity's effectiveness has shifted from Europe and America to the 'Global South.' This is mostly Asia and Africa.

I believe China will send more missionaries out into the world in the years to come than any other nation in history.

PIVOTAL ADVANCE

This year's ICA Summit was a pivotal time of transition after Dr. Wagner's powerful leadership over the last ten years. During this time ICA grew to hundreds of key apostolic leaders from all over the world.

The future of this organization will be a determining factor in the advance of the Kingdom of God.
